“Building Prime is a translucent Kiln-formed fused glass window composed of iredized and dicspeaks to prime numbers. There are a prime number of buildings that each have a prime number of pieces that all add up to a prime number.”

A native of Bedford Stuyvesant Brooklyn, Ken Wright’s first art medium was photography. Wright has heralded exhibitions in New York, Washington, D.C., New Jersey, and Philadelphia. Through his work, Wright highly regards tools and precision, creating graceful stained and fused glass mosaics. His glass images are urban, figurative, ancestral, and narrative, and cutting the glass in a way that makes it flow like a painting. An active member of the National Conference of Artists and Black Art in America, Wright is also a conversationist and master framer who works with the most outstanding African-American artists in New York City.
