Oceans of the Moon by Keshida Layone
Oceans of the Moon, 2021, Mixed Media on Canvas, 20″ x 16 inches
Can you withstand the blazing heat from an orange sky
Stare down a lilly white moon
Can you swim the depths of the oceans all at the same time.
My focus was to draw attention to our Earth’s fertile ground being seduced by the SUN and Moon’s rays. Our melanin skin has been soaking up the cold blue liquid from the ocean for centuries which makes the African diaspora the true Earth People.
