Esther Kantono is a Ugandan painter based in Entebbe, a graduate from Margret Trowell School of Industrial and Fine Arts, Makerere University, Kampala and had her industrial training at Nommo Gallery, Kampala. She’s a full time contemporary artist who uses paint, saw dust, and other materials to create uneven textures of portraits and figurative subjects that explore stories based on her personal experiences, emotions and feelings.
