Azeez Afeez was born in the early ‘90s in Lagos, Nigeria. He studied Fine Arts and majored in Painting. In the process of his academic program, he had a one-year training at A.S Ebenezer Studios under the tutoring of Mr. Akinola where he mastered the crafts of portraiture and figurative arts. His works narrates his obsession by the lifestyle of the people around him in his early years and how the environment affects and dictates their lifestyles. Azeez works with oil, acrylic, charcoal and synthetic materials on the surface of his canvas to achieve the stories he tells in his works. Working on a narrative that shapes his thoughts and feelings about multiculturalism in Nigeria
