Jjuuko Hoods is East African multidisciplinary artist who was born in 1980 in Kampala Uganda. He is a graduate of Kampala University, Ggaba with a first-class honors degree specializing in medical illustration. Jjuuko embarked on a solo career since 2006 and has since staged 26 solo shows around the world including Denmark, Uganda, Canada, Kenya, Rwanda, UK among other joint and group shows. His recent artworks comprise of mixed media on canvas, bark cloth and other African fabrics dealing with the issues of identity, gender and race.
